Roy Press Printers History
Roy Press Printers began in New York City’s Greenwich Village back in 1886. The company was named for Roy Nichols, the business partner of our great-grandfather, William Lawrence. Since then, the business has remained within our family and today Roy Press Printers is owned and operated by Ralph William Lawrence III, a fourth generation Lawrence.
In the early 1960’s, we relocated to Monmouth County’s Jersey Shore, to our current location on Sunset Avenue in Ocean Township. For years, there were only a few buildings in the surrounding area. Now, almost fifty years later, we mark the entrance to a bustling Industrial Park. We are pleased to be part of such a flourishing community and hope to continue serving area businesses and organizations, both new and old.
Social Responsibility and Company Culture
Family owned and operated, Roy Press Printers has been recognized by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) as a strong business partner. We make it a point to enlist suppliers who have met the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) accreditations, which were put into place to preserve our national forests. We believe that it is the responsibility of all businesses—particularly those that rely on paper and ink products—to conserve and protect our natural resources. We are also a member of the following organizations: National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), National Association of Printers and Lithographers (NAPL).
